There are pockets for small scissors, needles, hooks, stitch keepers, pins, and other small tools.  The inner pocket is felt, so you can attach pins, needles and safety pins directly to it.  The outer fabric is cotton and the flap snaps shut to keep everything safe.

The bag measures 5.5 inches (14 cms) at the base and 4.75 inches (12 cms) to the beginning of the handles.  The whole thing opens up to reveal 3 felt pockets and 1 clear vinyl pocket.
